Terms of Service
The agreement between you and SitegenOS for using the platform.
Last updated: August 22, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SitegenOS, a product of ApeTec Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using SitegenOS, you agree to these Terms.
The service
SitegenOS provides:
- AI-generated websites based on business details you supply.
- Hosting for published sites.
- Billing infrastructure for Builder subscriptions and Owner-side hosting.
- An Owner Dashboard for site owners to manage their site and read enquiries.
- Business Finder: a prospecting tool that surfaces local businesses from third-party listing data. Pro accounts get up to 250 businesses a week. Free accounts get one search, once. Listing data is provided "as is". Verify before you rely on it, and you are responsible for how you use it.
We do not provide legal, financial, or business advice. We do not provide marketing services, live booking, e-commerce, or payment processing on generated sites.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service or any part of it at our discretion.
Accounts
You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. Keep your credentials secure and tell us at hello@sitegenos.com if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate the Acceptable Use Policy, abuse the service, or are involved in fraud or payment abuse (including chargebacks).
Builders and Owners
SitegenOS is used by Builders, who create and sell websites, and by the business Owners they sell to. Any agreement between a Builder and an Owner — including price, scope, promises, and conduct — is between them alone. We are not a party to that transaction, we make no representation about any Builder's work, pricing, conduct, or promises, and we are not responsible for disputes between Builders and Owners. Each party's use of SitegenOS is governed by these Terms independently of whatever they have agreed with each other.
Publishing and the free trial week
When a Builder publishes a site it goes live on a sitegenos.com address and starts a free 7-day window, counted from the moment of publishing. If hosting is not activated before those 7 days elapse, the site goes offline. That is not a discretion we exercise case by case — an automated job runs every few minutes and takes the site offline once the window has passed. Activating hosting at any point afterwards brings the same site straight back online.
At publishing, SitegenOS emails the client address the Builder supplies, with a link to activate hosting. It sends one further email when the free window ends. Those emails go out on the Builder's behalf: they are sent from a sitegenos.com address, the sender name reads as the Builder's business name followed by "via SitegenOS", and replies go to the Builder's own email address. A Builder can add a personal note, which is included in the email as written. SitegenOS stores that client address to send those emails and to deliver the site's enquiries during the free window. The Privacy Policy covers how it is handled.
If you are a Builder, then by giving us a client's email address you confirm you have that person's permission to be contacted there about the website you made for them, and that the address is theirs. Anything you write in a personal note is your content and your responsibility, exactly as the site's content is.
Fair use of generation and editing
Plans carry limits, and those limits are enforced in the product:
- A Free account can generate 1 site in total, and make up to 5 AI edits on it.
- A Pro account can generate up to 10 sites a week, of which up to 3 may be Digital Experience sites.
- Pro AI editing is not metered by a count of edits, and is meant to be used freely. It carries a fair-use ceiling per site and per month, set well above heavy normal use and applied only to protect the service from abnormal use.
- Business Finder is capped as described above.
Current limits are shown in the product. We may change them, and a change takes effect when it is applied.
Pricing and payment
- Builder Pro: $79 per month (USD), billed monthly. Publishing sites and Business Finder (up to 250 businesses a week) are included.
- Owner hosting: $19 per month (USD), billed to the Owner after handoff.
- All payments are processed by Stripe and billed in US dollars. Your bank handles any currency conversion. Tax is calculated by Stripe Tax based on billing address.
- Current pricing is shown on our pricing page. Changes take effect at your next renewal.
You can cancel anytime. Payments are non-refundable except where the law gives you a right to a refund — see Cancellation and Refunds below.
Cancellation
Builders cancel Pro from the billing dashboard. Owners cancel hosting in the Stripe Customer Portal, which opens from the "Manage hosting" control on the Owner Dashboard or from the owner billing page. A cancellation made that way takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. Your subscription — and any site whose hosting it covers — stays active until that date, and you are not charged again. Published sites stay live for as long as the billing that covers them remains current. A site whose hosting is never activated goes offline when its free 7-day window ends.
Deleting your account works differently, and it is worth knowing before you do it. Deletion cancels your subscriptions immediately rather than at the end of the period, and nothing is refunded for the days you have paid for and not used. For an Owner that means the website your hosting pays for goes offline at that point, not at the end of the month. A Builder who deletes their account does not cancel hosting a client is already paying for — that site stays with its Owner.
Refunds
SitegenOS does not refund the unused part of a period.
If you are a consumer, you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of taking out a subscription, and nothing in these Terms takes that away. SitegenOS starts immediately — a site is live and a subscription is running as soon as it is paid for — so if you cancel inside those 14 days you pay a proportionate amount for the part of the period in which you had the service, and we refund the rest. Email hello@sitegenos.com to cancel this way. Cancelling in the product stops future billing but does not by itself ask for that refund.
Ownership and handoff
Rights in a generated site — its content, copy, and imagery, excluding our platform materials — belong to the Builder who created it. When an Owner takes the site over and activates hosting, those rights pass to the Owner. We retain all rights to the SitegenOS platform, prompts, templates, and design system at all times, and may use aggregated, anonymized usage data to improve the product.
The Builder who created a site keeps the ability to edit that site's content. That access does not end at handoff, it does not depend on the Owner's payment state, and there is no control in the product by which an Owner can remove it. An Owner who does not want it should email hello@sitegenos.com. What a Builder cannot reach is the enquiries: the contents of messages visitors send through the site are readable only by an Owner who is paying for hosting, and are closed to the Builder in the database itself, not only in the interface.
Every site published through SitegenOS carries a "Built with SitegenOS" credit in its footer. It is on for every published site, for Builders and Owners alike, and there is no setting that removes it.
You grant us a limited licence to host, render, and modify your sites for the purpose of operating the service. The licence ends for a site when it is no longer hosted with us. If a Builder deletes their account, sites already billed to their Owner remain hosted for the Owner. The licence continues for those sites under the Owner's own use of the service.
Your content and your responsibility
Content you upload or generate — its accuracy, its legality, its licensing, and its compliance with the laws of wherever your business or your client's business operates — is your responsibility (the Builder's, and after handoff the Owner's), not ours. AI-generated content may contain errors. Review it before publishing.
Indemnity
You will indemnify and hold harmless ApeTec Ltd and its officers and employees against any third-party claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable legal costs arising from content you upload, generate, or publish, from your use of the service, or from your breach of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.
Enforcement
We may remove content or take a site offline, and may suspend or terminate the responsible account, where content violates the Acceptable Use Policy or we are legally required to act.
Disclaimers and liability
SITEGENOS IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE FEES YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW.
Changes
We may update these Terms. The date above shows the current version. Material changes take effect when posted here. Continuing to use SitegenOS after a change means you accept it.
General
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. These Terms, together with the Acceptable Use Policy, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and (for Owners) the Data Processing Agreement, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the service. A person who is not a party to these Terms has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any of them.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, except where the consumer protection laws of your country of residence require otherwise.
