Our story

Seven decades. Same recipe.

The fryers at Poppies have been running since 1952. What started as a neighbourhood chippy in the East End is still exactly that — a family-run room where the batter is fresh, the portions are honest, and the tartare sauce is made in-house. The 1940s fit-out isn't nostalgia for its own sake; it's a reminder that some things don't need improving. Come in and sit down, or grab it to go.
