Aldergate opened in 2017 on a quiet Islington side street — the kind of street you walk down on purpose, not by accident. Priya Sethi trained at Vidal Sassoon and built her reputation on precision cutting and colour that reads as effortless. Marcus Doyle joined at the start and brought the same unhurried approach to men's cuts and texture work. The room holds four chairs. Priya trained at Vidal Sassoon and spent several years there before opening Aldergate in 2017. Her work is rooted in precision — both in cutting and in colour. Balayage and lived-in colour are her specialism, and she's known for listening carefully before she picks up a brush.
Marcus co-founded Aldergate alongside Priya and leads on men's cuts and texture work. His approach is unhurried and precise — he'll spend the first few minutes understanding your hair before he starts. Eight weeks later, the cut still holds.
Cleo joined Aldergate in 2020 and quickly became a fixture in the studio. She works across cuts and colour, with a particular eye for highlights and toning. Clients tend to rebook with her on the day.
